REPORTS TO: Club Director
LOCATION: Elise Manashe Teen Center (EMTC)
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Full-time
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under the direct supervision of and in collaboration with the Clubhouse Director (CD), the Assistant Club Director (ACD) serves as the secondary leader at the Clubhouse and is expected to offer leadership and make sound decisions on a daily basis.
CLUB OPERATIONS
- Maintain a productive lobby environment and monitor the front of the building, especially during peak pick-up times, to ensure the safety of all youth and visitors and good relations with neighbors.
- Collect membership fees, overdue fees, field trip fees, and insurance information.
- Manage Club funds by following the organization's Finance Core Process.
- Oversee access to the Club building, ensuring all Protection of Youth Policies are followed by Club staff, families, and the community.
- Assist in closing and opening of the building in collaboration with the Club Director.
- Oversee the Club’s member management system, MyClubHub, to ensure quality data is entered and reported and that financial procedures are followed consistently.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs and maintenance assessments of the facilities to ensure the Club’s maintenance, safety, and cleanliness standards are met.
- Ensure that the Club adheres to organizational expectations for operating procedures, safe ratios, etc.
- Partner with the Club Director to ensure the Club has a current emergency plan and is facilitating emergency drills on a consistent basis. Help facilitate debrief with the team on each drill.
- Act as the primary staff contact and liaison for the USDA Food Program, including tracking snack/meal counts, inventory, and orders.
- Support the planning of team meetings and facilitate sections of the agenda.
PREVENTION & INTERVENTION
- Act as the lead Prevention specialist, which includes data collection, management, and reporting, as well as supervision of the prevention mentors on site.
- Support Standalone and School Clubs with Prevention caseloads in the summer as youth transition from Elementary Clubs to Teen Clubs.
- Manage Outreach Scholarship operations for the Elise Menashe Teen Center.
- Assist Standalone and School Clubs with Prevention Scholarships operations.
- Maintain youth records of teens receiving Outreach services using the organization's MyClubHub (MCH) database.
- Assist Outreach Coordinators and YET Case Manager with youth meetings.
- Assist Outreach Program staff in maintaining client records in MCH (e.g., creating profiles, pulling reports, checking in youth during events, etc.).
CLUB PARTNERSHIPS & EVENTS
- Support the Club Director in planning and implementing family events.
- Support effective volunteer engagement, management, and stewardship.
- Support the Club Director in managing vendor relationships as assigned.
- Support the Club Director in developing and implementing facility use agreements and MOUs (Memorandum of Understanding) for the Club, including rentals, partnerships with shared space, etc.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally, with Clubhouse staff, senior leadership, parents and guardians, youth, community groups, and other related agencies.
- Collaborate with schools, administrators, and local community agencies/organizations.
- Communicate frequently with teachers, building operators, principals, counselors, and family community resource coordinators.
- Inform school partners regarding annual events that require youth to be signed out of school, such as Santa’s Clothes.
- Assist the Club Director in arranging school visits for Program Leads.
YOUTH & FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment for youth and staff.
- Consult with parents and guardians to build positive relationships, resolve issues, and refer to resources as needed.
- Document significant behaviors/incidents, restorative responses, and follow up with youth and families using the BGCSW Incident Report Process.
- Co-host new Parent/Member Orientations.
- Support the Club Director in developing a strong team that can deliver exceptional services to young people each day.
- Actively engage with youth and staff, especially during peak program times, ensuring program execution, youth engagement in programs and adherence to Clubhouse standards.
- Review existing programs and make the necessary recommendations for their continuance, change, or elimination.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of experience with a youth-serving organization.
- Complete a credit check.
- Pass a National Criminal Background Check, Social Security Check, Local Criminal Background Check, and National Sex Offender Registry Check.
- Licensed and insured driver with clean driving record and willingness to drive a 12-passenger van
- Must be able to read and write in English and Spanish
SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED
- Experience in a leadership capacity at a youth-serving non-profit, with proven success in staff management, operations, and community relations—strongly prefer experience in a Boys & Girls Club or other community-based organization working with youth living in neighborhoods impacted by poverty.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, plan, and coordinate operations.
- Leadership skills, including understanding group dynamics, problem-solving, decision-making, and delegation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Current Food Worker Card
- Candidates proficient in Chuukese are highly preferred.
WORK SCHEDULE
- 40 hours a week (usually from 10:30 am to 7 pm; occasional early mornings, late evenings, and weekends for special events)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $21.50-$23.50/hour depending on experience
